dude.
June 2, 2009
sometimes, things are just…wacky. Like:
my ancient, apartment-sized oven died.
for the third time.
bought a new one.
it won’t arrive for 3 weeks.
seriously.
Then:
agatha got attacked, and i do mean attacked, by an angry bee/wasp Sunday night.
it stung her 5 times.
it was still attacking when jaegen swooped her up into the house.
first stings ever, and the most terrifying kind.
Oh, and:
Edmund spent 3 1/2 hours at Children’s b/c his skin rash (sorry, guys, for the gross) has begun to abscess.
he’s now on antibiotics.
if they don’t work, we’re back to hospital for an iv drip of stronger antibiotics.
But, then:
All the kindergarteners at Agatha’s school led chapel yesterday morning.
agatha decided to surprise us.
don’t worry, it’s a good surprise.
Feel free to just watch bits and pieces; i tried to edit it to a more succinct chunk, but my video editing software (aka Picasa from Google) is crap. also, jaegen says that he couldn’t zoom in, which explains the classic, “Whose-kid-is-that-at-the-front-singing?” perspective on the video.
all and all, we’re living in a crazy time right now. how about you? Question O’ the Day: what’s something random that’s happened to you in the last week?
Is this because I didn’t call for 3 days? Thought you’d shake things up a bit?
I loved the song! Agatha did a fantastic job. I sang along as I was eating lunch.
I think I could use some random right now, but I’m not sure there is any room in the schedule for it.
I hope Edmund is feeling better. And Agatha has recovered from the stings!! When I was first stung by a bee, I got no sympathy at all: it was on one side of a screen door, and I was on the other, banging at it through the screen; I was told by several adults in the room to stop or I would get stung, and yet I continued, until the inevitable end. I remember my mother raised an eyebrow, and continued walking on by, oblivous to my tears. I don’t blame her.
This video was so sweet thank you for sharing it!
sorry to hear about the illness & injuries they are never fun, hope it all clears up quickly.
best

Oh, poor kids! I hope they’re okay! Brian believes that the reason I have spheksophobia (wasp phobia) is because I’ve never been stung, but I bet you could end up afraid of them by getting stung, too!
Great singing!
Awwwwwww Agatha your singing…. it’s wonderfull! I’m sorry to hear about the sickness of Agatha and Edmund. Hope they’re doing better. I remember when I first got stung i swelled up. At least my leg did! For the question…. nothing really!
